Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Skyline (2-3) lost on the road to third ranked Push (5-1) 122-105 on Saturday. Push dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Skyline's 44. Push forced 19 Skyline turnovers and outrebounded them 53-28 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Push made 7 blocks. Jordan Allen (193-98, college: Lynn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ruston Hayward (196-93, college: CBC) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Point guard Malachi Davidson (183-97, college: Kilgore JC) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Ricardo Artis III (198-93, college: Wiley, agency: Green Sports Management) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Skyline. Five Push and four Skyline players scored in double figures. Push have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Jamestown J. Loser Skyline dropped to the second place with three games lost. Push will face Finest (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Skyline will play against Royals (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
