The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Mavericks' (4-1) road victory over 5th ranked Leopards (2-4) in Lewisville 113-97 on Saturday. Mavericks forced 20 Leopards turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Leopards were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Jordan Lyons (180-97, college: Furman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Center RJ White (203-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Micheal Lenoir (180-1) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and guard Jarrett Henderson (201-96, college: UWF) added 22 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Leopards. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mavericks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Waco R. and Kokomo B. Loser Leopards dropped to the third position with four games lost. Mavericks will face Lightning (#7) in Little Rock in the next round where they are favorite.
