Regular Season Round 8: Syracuse S. - Tri-State A. 118-117

The most exciting game of round 8 in the TBL took place in Syracuse. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Admirals (1-3) to second ranked Stallions (4-2) 118-117 on Saturday evening. Stallions looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Admirals' players. Guard John Ivy (185-92, college: Brockport St.) saved the victory by scoring 39 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Jacquil Taylor (208-95, college: Hofstra) contributed with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Malik Thomas (201-92, college: Norfolk St.) replied with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and power forward Joshua Nurse (208-97, college: SFC) added 17 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Admirals. Four Stallions and five Admirals players scored in double figures. Stallions maintains second position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader San Diego G. Admirals at the other side keep the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Tampa Bay T.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
