Regular Season Round 8: San Diego G. - California SK 146-91

An interesting game for Guardians (5-0) which hosted in San Diego 4th ranked Seakings (0-2). Top-ranked Guardians had an easy win 146-91. Guardians dominated down low during the game scoring 108 of its points in the paint compared to Seakings' 62. They outrebounded Seakings 58-35 including a 43-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guardians players were unselfish on offense dishing 37 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Seakings' players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ryan Smith (211-95, college: Tulane) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and forward Elijah Bush (203-97, college: UVI) who added 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Larry Wickett (196, college: UMFK) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Brett Corbertt scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Guardians and four Seakings players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guardians have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Seakings at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Gulf Coast L.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
