Regular Season Round 5: Jamestown J. - South Shore M. 138-102

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Jackals as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Jackals smashed bottom-ranked Moncarchs in Jamestown 138-102. Jackals dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Moncarchs' 48 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Moncarchs 54-39 including a 45-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jackals looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Point guard Christian Nobles (175-92, college: USC Aiken) stepped up and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and guard McGlynn Four (188-92) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Michael Pierre (190-96, college: S.Vermont) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Kachi Nzerem (196-93) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Syracuse S. and Houston P. Moncarchs at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Midtown P.. Moncarchs will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Jackals will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Stallions in Syracuse.
