An exciting game was played in . Guardians faced Breeze. Guests from San Diego (1-0) smashed host Breeze (0-2) 125-85. Guardians shot 61.2 percent from the field. Guardians had a 24-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 40 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was swingman Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) who scored 31 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Forward Billy White (203-89, college: SDSU) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Guardians players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Malik Timmons (193-96, college: Voorhees) who recorded 18 points and forward Jeremy Ireland (198-96, college: Elmhurst) added 16 points respectively. Guardians will have a break next round. Breeze will play again on the road against Guardians (#1) in San Diego and hopes to get finally their first victory.
