Regular Season Round 3: Lewisville L. - Waco R. 114-117

A very interesting game took place in Lewisville. It ended with only three-point home defeat of Leopards (0-2) to Royals (2-0) 117-114 on Sunday evening. Royals forced 24 Leopards turnovers. Strangely Leopards outrebounded Royals 77-55 including a 32-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for forward Lyle Hexom (203-95, college: Peru St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Point guard George Brock (183-95, college: SUNO) accounted for 30 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Brock is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Jarrett Henderson (201-96, college: UWF) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and point guard Chase Winchester (183-98, college: UNK) added 26 points respectively for Leopards in the defeat. Four Royals and five Leopards players scored in double figures. Royals' next round opponent will be Lightning (#4) in Little Rock.
