Regular Season Round 3: Dayton F. - Flint Utd 143-122

There was no surprise in Dayton where United (0-2) was crushed by Flight (1-0) 143-122 on Sunday. Flight dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to United's 54 and made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded United 50-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. United was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-94, college: PVAMU) who scored 25 points and 5 assists. Swingman Matthew Csuhran (197-94, college: John Carroll) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Johnson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Karl Harris (196-96, college: NKU) who recorded 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and guard Jaire Grayer (196-96, college: TCU) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flight will face Bobcats in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. United will play against Express and hopes to get finally their first victory.
