Thoroughbreds (0-1) recorded a loss in Columbus on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Condors (1-1) 113-112. Condors shot 67.8 percent from the field and made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game, while Thoroughbreds only scored ten points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Thoroughbreds helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Brett McKnight (198-89, college: Akron) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: WCU) chipped in 17 points. Condors' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jaiveon Eaves (188-98, college: Murray St.) who recorded 25 points and guard Corey Wilford (188-91, college: SEMO) added 23 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Condors is again looking forward to face Thoroughbreds (#5) in Owensboro in the next round. Thoroughbreds will have a break next round.
