Regular Season Round 20: Scarborough - Vancouver 79-82

There was an upset in Toronto where higher ranked Shooting Stars (11-9) were edged by ninth ranked Bandits (8-12) 82-79 on Sunday. Bandits looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Ward (203-1997, college: Michigan St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Austrian-Georgian forward Giorgi Bezhanishvili (206-1998, college: Illinois) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Forward Isiaha Mike (203-1997, college: SMU) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Shooting Stars players scored in double figures. Shooting Stars' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bandits moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Saskatchewan and Brampton. Loser Shooting Stars keep the fifth position with nine games lost.
