Regular Season Round 16: Winnipeg - Montreal 96-88

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Sea Bears (11-6) beat 8th ranked Alliance (7-9) in Winnipeg 96-88 on Friday. Sea Bears shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American swingman EJ Anosike (201-1998, college: CS Fullerton) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) did not help to save the game for Alliance. Forward Nathan Cayo (201-1997, college: Richmond) added 28 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sea Bears maintains second position with 11-6 record behind leader Ottawa. Loser Alliance dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Sea Bears will meet Surge (#5) in the next round. Alliance will play against Shooting Stars and hope to secure a win.
