Bottom-ranked Honey Badgers managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak on Friday night. This time defending champion won against tenth-ranked Bandits in Langley 96-91. Honey Badgers made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Bandits turnovers. The winners were led by guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) who scored that evening 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) supported him with 20 points and 5 assists. Honey Badgers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by American-Syrian guard Douglas Herring Jr (191-1987, college: Utica) did not help to save the game for Bandits. Austrian-Georgian forward Giorgi Bezhanishvili (206-1998, college: Illinois) added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Five Honey Badgers and four Bandits players scored in double figures. Defending champion (6-9) moved-up to eighth place. Bandits lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Honey Badgers will meet Rattlers (#9) in the next round. Bandits will play against Rattlers in Saskatoon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
