Regular Season Round 12: Edmonton - Scarborough 89-91

Important game to mention about took place in Edmonton. Fourth ranked Shooting Stars (7-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Stingers (5-6) 91-89 on Thursday evening. Shooting Stars made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 assists. The other American import center Kyree Walker (198-2000) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Brody Clarke (203-1996, college: Alberta) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and South Sudanese-Canadian Aher Uguak (201-1998, college: Loyola, IL) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Stingers. Four Shooting Stars and five Stingers players scored in double figures. Stingers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shooting Stars moved-up to second place, which they share with Ottawa. Stingers at the other side keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Niagara and Brampton. Shooting Stars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stingers will play at home against Bandits (#9) and hope to get back on the winning track.
