Regular Season Round 3: Ottawa - Montreal 89-75

An interesting game for Blackjacks (3-1) which hosted in Ottawa Alliance (2-2). Blackjacks managed to get a 14-point victory 89-75. Blackjacks outrebounded Alliance 45-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists. American power forward Zena Edosomwan (206-1993, college: Harvard) accounted for 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Blake Francis (183-1998, college: Richmond) added 18 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively for Alliance in the defeat. Five Blackjacks and four Alliance players scored in double figures. Blackjacks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Alliance will play against Honey Badgers (#5) in Hamilton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
