Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Windsor Express (20-7) in St. John's on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Rogues (9-15) 115-109. Newfoundland R. made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Strangely Windsor Exp. outrebounded Newfoundland R. 48-28 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Newfoundland R. shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tarkus Ferguson (193-1995, college: UIC) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import point guard David Jasson (183-1999, college: Post) contributed with 29 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. point guard Latin Davis (183-1997, college: WSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for Windsor Exp.Windsor Express' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rogues have a solid three-game winning streak. Newfoundland R. maintains fifth position with 9-15 record. Windsor Exp. at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost.
Fourth-ranked London Lightning (12-13) was very close to win a game against third ranked Titans (17-10) in Kitchener. Titans managed to secure only three-point victory 95-92. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of London Lightning. American forward Jaquan Lightfoot (203, college: Southeastern) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Sam Akano chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American-Palestinian forward Calvin Godfrey (204-1990, college: Memphis) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KW Titans maintains third position with 17-10 record having just three points less than leader Meriden Sons. London at the other side keeps the fourth place with 13 games lost.

Jackals' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. London maintains fourth position with 12-13 record. Loser Jackals dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost.

In the last two games of round 22 Sudbury F. beat KW Titans on the road 114-109. Newfoundland R. lost to Windsor Exp. on its own court 100-105.



London L. - Jamestown J. 100-97

Sixth-ranked Jackals (8-11) were very close to win a game against fourth ranked London Lightning (12-13) on Tuesday. London Lightning managed to secure only three-point victory 100-97. However their fans expected easier game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when London made 9 blocks. American players dominated the game. Billy White (203-1989, college: SDSU) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Jaylon Tate (190-1995, college: Illinois, agency: BIG) supported him with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Devante Jamison (173, college: FDU) did not help to save the game for Jamestown. Forward Tyshon Pickett (201-1991, college: Bradley) added 17 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Four London and five Jamestown players scored in double figures. The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Five's (18-8) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Titans (17-10) in Kitchener 114-109 on Thursday. Sudbury F. made 32-of-40 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while KW Titans only scored sixteen points from the stripe. Guard Jermaine Haley Jr (201-1997, college: WVU) notched 32 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Diego Bernard (183-2000, college: NW Missouri St.) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Even a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds by American forward Jaquan Lightfoot (203, college: Southeastern) did not help to save the game for KW Titans. His fellow American import swingman Sam Akano (196-1993, college: TxWes) added 29 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sudbury F. maintains second position with 18-8 record having just three points less than leader Meriden Sons. Very expected game when 5th ranked Rogues (9-15) lost to first ranked Windsor Express (20-7) in St. John's 100-105 on Saturday. Windsor Exp. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Rogues's 38 and made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. Windsor Exp. outrebounded Newfoundland R. 57-35 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated also this game. Center Vincent Boumann (206-1996, college: WOU) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) to lead the effort and forward Lydell Elmore (206-1998, college: Camp-Harrodsburg) supported him with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
