Junior guard Qiayon Bailey led The W in its 72-43 victory over Selma University on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The West Point, Miss. native went 9-for-12 from the field including 1-for-2 beyond the arc and picked up three baskets at the free-throw line to lead the Owls with 22 points in their final regular season game of the 2019 season. The Apprentice School women's basketball team came up short in a 63-55 setback against Washington Adventist on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Builders shot 27% from the floor in the first half and the Shock shot 39% from the floor and outrebounded the Lady Builders by 17 to build a nine-point lead. Callan Taylor (6'0''-F-90, college: Sacred Heart) was The Woods standout performer tonight as she finished the contest with 21 points. Taylor finished the game hitting seven 3-PT baskets and was 7-12 from the field. In the first quarter, the Pomeroys jumped out to an early lead over the Griffins.
