Regular Season Round 8: Reign - Swish 76-71

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Swish (6-2) against sixth ranked Reign (3-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Swish was defeated by Reign in a tough game in Hayward 71-76. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Swish. The winners were led by swingman Mo Bennett (177-1990, college: Georgia Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Jessica Wilson supported her with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds by guard Alexsis Brown (170, college: CSU Maritime) did not help to save the game for Swish. Swingman Madison Michelis (180, college: Menlo) added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Reign maintains sixth position with 3-5 record, which they share with Riptide. Defending champion Swish still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Wolves and Blaze.
