Regular Season Round 5: Blaze - Royals 85-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Blaze and 5th ranked Royals had identical 2-2 record. This time Blaze used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Berkeley 85-79 on Saturday night. Blaze dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Royals' 40. The best player for the winners was Canadian-American guard Ameela Li (168-1997, college: Pacific) who scored 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Serbian power forward Jovana Subasic (193-1997, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 8 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Brijanee Moore (175, college: Talladega) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jasmine Guinn (168-1995) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Royals players scored in double figures. Blaze (3-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Phoenix. Loser Royals keep the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Riptide. Blaze will meet at home league's leader Wolves in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Royals will play against Valkyrie (#8) and hope to secure a win.
