Very expected game in Altus where bottom-rankedSky Kings (0-3) were crushed by leader Fire (5-0) 146-75 on Sunday. Potawatomi F. made 30-of-32 free shots (93.8 percent) during the game, while Western Okl. only scored seven points from the stripe. Potawatomi F. forced 22 Western Okl. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Daylon Guy (183-1992, college: Tarleton St.) who scored 23 points and 9 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Kameron Williams (188-1994, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 23 points. Five Fire players scored in double figures. Fire's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tyler James (201-2000, college: Westminster, PA) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tre Mitchell (196-1995, college: Angelo St.) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Fire have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Great Falls E. and New York P. Loser Sky Kings still closes the standings with three games lost.
