The game had a very big importance for second-rankedTitans as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Five) loss. Titans smashed 5th ranked Jackals in Kitchener 123-92 . KW Titans forced 19 Lake Erie turnovers and outrebounded them 58-37 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. KW Titans players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The game was dominated by American players. point guard James Towns (178-1998, college: Niagara) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Tyler Groce (203-1998, college: Butler) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Titans' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Dane Miller (203-1990, college: Rutgers) answered with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward KeTarrious Bouchum (196-1998, college: Butler CC, KS) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Lake Erie. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sudbury F. and Montreal T. Lake Erie lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 16 games lost.
