Held is back at Mercury

Phoenix Mercury signed 26-year-old guard Alexa Held (5'10''-1999, college: DePaul). It is actually her comeback to Mercury as she has played here before. She played this summer at Toronto Tempo (WNBA). But in 7 games just recently she had only 1.3ppg and 1.0apg.
She is a highly experienced player. Held has played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia, and North America). She has played professionally in Australia (Seahawks), Hungary (PEAC-Pecs), Italy (Venezia), Poland (Wroclaw), and Sweden (Norrkoping). Held won the Hungarian League championship title in 2026.
Among many awards, she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Polish OBLK Guard of the Year in 2024.
She graduated from De Paul University in 2022 and this will be her sixth season as a professional player.
