New York Liberty signed 24-year-old Australian international forward Alexandra Fowler (5'11''-2001, college: Portland). She moved there from Jiangsu in Chinese WCBA. In four games, she had 9.8ppg, 6.5rpg, and 2.0apg last season. Last summer, she played for Hawks (NBL One) in the Australian league.
She has also been a member of the Australian international program for some years. Fowler has regularly played for the Australian senior team since 2025 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2019.
She also represented Australia at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament in Istanbul (Turkey) this year. Her team won Gold and she had an average of almost 3 points per game.
Fowler has played professionally in Australia for the Canberra Capitals. She won the Australian League championship title in 2026.
Fowler won the All-WCC Newcomer of the Year award in 2020.
She graduated from the University of Portland in 2023 and is currently in her third season as a professional player.
