The Chicago Sky cut 27-year-old 6-4 power forward Sidney Cooks, who played college basketball at Seton Hall. During the last season, she played for the Red Wolves in the Chinese WCBA, where she averaged an impressive 16.7ppg, 7.3rpg, and 1.8apg in 24 games. Cooks was also voted League Player of the Week.
She is a very experienced player, and thanks to pro basketball, she experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. Cooks is familiar with Asian, Latin American, and of course North American leagues. She has played professionally in Argentina (Obras), China (Ganzhou), Mexico (Fuerza Regia and Freseras), Puerto Rico (Athleticas and Yauco), Taiwan (Tigers), and Turkey.
Among many awards, her team made it to the Mexican LNBPF Semifinals in 2025. Cooks was also selected as the Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBPF Forward of the Year in 2024.
She graduated from Seton Hall University in 2023 and is currently in her third season in pro basketball. Cooks played for other colleges such as Mississippi State University and Michigan State University.
