Minnesota Lynx re-signed 29-year old 6-1 forward Napheesa Collier (college: UConn) for upcoming season. She was a team leader there last season. In 39 WNBA games she averaged impressive 22.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 3.1apg, 1.6spg (in top 5) and 1.4bpg. She helped them to win the Western Conference title and they also made it to the Cup final. A very good season in her career as she was voted to WNBA League All-Star Game, WNBA First Team and WNBA All-Defensive First Team.
In 2019 she was drafted by Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in first round (6th overall).
The former University of Connecticut star is in her eighth season in pro basketball.
Collier was also a member of the USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team between 2019 and 2024 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2015.
Collier also represented USA at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. Collier's team won Gold and she had almost 7 points per game.
She has played also professionally in France (Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration), Turkey (Fenerbahce and Hatay) and Hungary (Sopron).
Collier was selected WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.
