Dallas Wings agreed terms with 24-year old Finnish-Egyptian international center Awak Kuier (6'5''-2001). She is the second foreign player in the roster as Australian Alanna Smith signed here earlier. It is actually her comeback to Wings as she has played here before. She just played at Galatasaray in Turkish KBSL. In 24 games she had 12.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.7apg, 1.0spg and 2.0bpg last season. Kuier helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals after they ended regular season as the second-best team. 2025-26 was a great year as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Third Team. She also played 17 games in Euroleague where she recorded 12.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.9apg, 1.0spg and 1.6bpg. Good season as she was named League Player of the Week. Last season she played at Umana Reyer Venezia in the Italian league.
In 2021, she was selected by the Dallas Wings (WNBA) as the #2 overall pick in the draft.
Kuier has been a member of the Finnish international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Finnish senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2019.
Kuier has also played in Italy (Ragusa) and Finland (Peli Karhut and Marsky Helsinki).
She won the Italian Serie A1 championship title in 2024. She was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Italian League All-Defensive Team in 2025.
