In 2021, the Atlanta Dream selected her as the third overall pick in the WNBA draft. She graduated from the University of Arizona and it's her sixth season in pro basketball. McDonald is a very experienced player, having played professionally in five different countries on four different continents thanks to pro basketball. She has experience in European, Asian, Australian, and North American leagues. McDonald has played for Perth Lynx in Australia, UNI Gyor in Hungary, LA Sparks in the WNBA, and Nesibe in Turkey. Between many awards, she played in the final of the Australian WNBL in 2024. She received the All-Pac-12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year award, Pac-12 All-Tournament Team, and Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award Finalist award back in 2021 during her college time. McDonald also played for The University of Washington for one year. |
