Williams comes back to Storm

Gabrielle Williams

Seattle Storm added to their roster 27-year old double-passport holder French 5-11 forward Gabrielle Williams (college: UConn). It is actually her comeback to Storm as she has played here before. Last season she played at Lyon ASVEL Feminin in French LFB where in 11 games she recorded very impressive stats: 19.9ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.9apg and 2.1spg. She was also voted League Player of the Week (2 times). Williams also played 9 games in Euroleague where she averaged 12.9ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.4apg and 2.6spg (in top 3).
In 2018, the Chicago Sky selected her as the fourth overall pick in the WNBA draft.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut and it'll be her seventh season in pro basketball.
Williams represented the USA at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) this year. Her team won Silver and she averaged over 15 points per game.
She is a very experienced player. Williams has played professionally in Hungary (Sopron), Italy (NPL Dike), Spain (Girona), the LA Sparks, and France (Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration).
She won the French LFB championship title in 2023. She was voted to the Eurobasket.com French LFB All-Domestic Players Team in 2023.
