Elizabeth Cambage (6'8''-C-91) scored 35 points and pulled down 17 rebounds to propel the surging Dallas Wings to a 90-81 win over the Washington Mystics on Thursday at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. Dallas led by 13 entering the fourth quarter and went up 15 before the Mystics started cutting into that advantage, pulling to within 81-77 with 2 minutes, 44 seconds to play. After a timeout, the Wings went right back to their star player, and Elizabeth Cambage responded with the game's ensuing five points to push Dallas' lead to 86-77 and all but close out the game. The Wings (14-9) have won seven of their past eight games, including five straight at home. Washington (13-10) has lost four of its last five outings, with three of those losses occurring on the road. Kayla Thornton (6'1''-F-92, college: UTEP) added 15 points for Dallas, with Glory Johnson hitting 13, Azura Stevens (6'6''-F-96, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) scoring 11 and Allisha Gray contributing 10 for Dallas. Star guard Skylar Diggins (5'9''-G-90, college: Notre Dame) was 0-for-6 shooting and was held to just four free throws in more than 38 minutes of court time for the Wings, but she did dish seven assists. LaToya Sanders (6'3''-PF-86, college: N.Carolina) led Washington with a career-high 25 points, and rookie forward Ariel Atkins (5'11''-G-96, college: Texas) added 15 points for the Mystics. Forward Elena Delle Donne hit for just 9 points on 3-of-14 shooting but grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds. Elizabeth Cambage led Dallas with 17 points and nine rebounds in the first half as the Wings built a 48-39 lead at halftime. Thornton and Johnson each added 10 for Dallas over the first 20 minutes. Sanders paced the Mystics with 15 at intermission. The Wings get right back to the court, traveling to Chicago for a game on Friday against the Sky. Washington, meanwhile, heads to Westchester County for a game on Saturday afternoon versus the New York Liberty.
