Jamie
Weisner-Scott
Washington Mystics agreed terms with 22-year old Canadian international point guard Jamie Weisner (178-94, college: Oregon State, agency: LBM Management). She moved there from Connecticut Sun (WNBA), but was not approved after all. This season Weisner played at Oregon State University. In 35 WNBA games she had very impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.2apg this season. She helped them to win Pac-12 Tournament and they also made it to the NCAA Final Four. Quite impressive season as she was voted All-Pac-12 Co-Player of the Year, named to All-Pac-12 1st Team and named to AP NCAA All-America 2nd Team.
This summer Weisner was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in second round (17th overall).
She just graduated from Oregon State and it is her first season in pro basketball. Weisner was ESPNW All-NCAA Division I 2nd Team in 2016 at her college time. Weisner also represented Canada at the World Championships U19 in Lithuania three years ago. Her stats at that event were 8 games: Score-3 (17.0ppg), 6.4rpg, 2.8apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 54.9%, 3PT: 53.6%, FT: 72.2%.
