Hello everyone,
I am writing unto you all today to make an official announcement regarding the future of the Women's Blue Chip Basketball League, LLC (WBCBL). Over the past couple of years, I've been re-evaluating our humble beginnings in 2004 and the progression we have made since then.
After 15 years in the driver's seat, it's now time for me to move over and allow someone else to take the wheel. But of course, I'm not just passing the keys to just anyone, but an ownership group led by our own Mr. William Kelly.
Mr. Kelly and his partners has the vision and resources to lead the league on the continual construction of solid principles, on which, the league was founded. Although I will no longer be the final decision-maker, I will remain hands-on for some minimal administrative functions to assist in the transitioning of the WBCBL into a new chapter and new organization, the Women's Development Basketball Association, LLC (WDBA).
The change in organization and ownership will continue to provide the countless opportunities for men and women to follow their dreams and/or hone their professional skills in a positive and productive environment, but now on a more professional and uniformed standard for the entire league.
In closing, I want to thank each of you that actually cared enough to help grow the league and the mission of expanding the opportunity for Women's basketball in the United States. Especially, those who have been down with the vision from the jump and put in an honest effort to help others. The WBCBL has never been about me, but 'us' helping everyone that needed help on and off the court.
