Career Day for Lewis Along with Mallette Triple-Double Push Bears Past Bobcats, 113-58 in Home Opener- November 26, 2025The Bloomfield College women's basketball team used a triple-double from junior transfer, Nia Mallette (5'9''-G) to help propel them to a, 113-58 victory over visiting Bryant and Stratton College of Syracuse Friday evening. The win represented the highest home opener point total the Bears had since 2002 and the first ever triple-double recorded under third-year coach, Anthony Green. The home team, currently riding a three-game win streak also enjoyed a career-high, 22 points from Kayla Lewis (5'6''-G) who tickled the twine with 8-of-13 shooting from the floor that included 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and a perfect, 3-of-3 from the freethrow line. Bianca Ellis (5'6''-G) chipped in 18 points followed by a 16-point effort from senior, Anisha Able who ended the night with a double-double adding 12 rebounds. Classmate, Mia Martinez (5'7''-F) had a modest 12 points and 8 assists as Bloomfield saw four starters in double-figures. Mallette ended her historic night with team-highs of 27 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists and flirted with a quadruple-double, racking up 8 steals. The Bears put up 107 shots in the game and converted 40.2 percent of them (43) as they forced a program record 52 turnovers from the Bobcats. Bloomfield will take some time off for the Thanksgiving break before resuming action on December 2nd when they hit the road to face Fisher College.
