The Apprentice School vanquishes Warriors, 112-21

Kerrigan Smalls (5'4''-G) had a triple-double and The Apprentice School's women's basketball team scored the fourth most points in a single game in a 112-21 beating of Appalachian Bible Tuesday afternoon. After the two teams traded baskets early on to get to a 4-4 score, the Builders scored the next 18 points and then stormed away, leading by 47 points at halftime, 61-14. Apprentice didn't stop there, going up 94-19 at the end of the third before slowing down in the fourth on the way to the 91-point win. Small's triple-double consisted of 18 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. Jada Bryant had a double-double of a game-high 28 points with 15 rebounds. Jada Eleby also finished with a double-double of 18 points and 14 boards. Amaya Ray added 17 points, while falling one rebound and one assist shy of a triple-double. Jamica Jones (5'10''-F/C) added 18 points, while Nyla Jackson contributed 13. The 112 points is tied for fourth all-time with a 1997 matchup with Mary Baldwin. The 53 made field goals is second most all-time. The 103 field goals attempted is tied for second with a 1999 showdown with Christendom and a 2016 game against Trinity (Fla.). The 26 assists is in a six-way tie for 10th in program history. The 33 steals is tied for fifth with a game against Eastern in 2005.
