Owls score second victory against CU-Somerset - Jan 15, 2019

Juniors Tavonta Jones (6'3''-G) and Tre Pinkston (5'9''-PG) led the Owls men's basketball team in its second victory over Campbellsville University - Somerset on Saturday afternoon. Jones grabbed 22 points while Pinkston scored 16 in the 91-78 win over the Tigers. Shon Wright came off the bench to score 14 points to round out the double-digit scoring in the effort. "[I am] really excited about today's win," said Owls head coach Brian Merkel . "It's tough anytime you go on the road and win. Our guys came out with a great mindset and beat a very tough team. We really stepped up our defensive effort in the last 10 minutes of the game and I look forward to continuing this momentum at home on Thursday night." The Owls will return to the court on Thursday, Jan. 17 when they host Selma University. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. CT.

Harris' 23 Points Not Enough in 83-77 Loss Versus Oakwood - 12 days ago
Keith Harris scored 23 points but the Owls men's basketball team came up short, falling 83-77 to Oakwood University Monday night at Emma 'Ody' Pohl Gymnasium. Harris, the junior from Starkville, Miss., connected nine of his 19 shots from the floor, including two of seven from behind the arc. ‘Cats fall just short of avenging earlier loss to Fisher College - 19 days ago
Looking to even the season series, The Bryant & Stratton Rochester Bobcats hosted the Fisher College Falcons at James Monroe High School. In Boston, on December 16 th the Falcons topped the Bobcats 69-45. This time around it was a much tighter contest. The game was a back and fourth affair for the entirety of the first half. Builders Rally Over Gators 77-69 - 26 days ago
The Apprentice School men's basketball overcame an early deficit and held on late to defeat Thomas Nelson 77-69 on Sunday evening to conclude the MLK Classic. The Apprentice School held a 16-15 lead halfway through the half after a layup by Caleb Mielewski. Thomas Nelson then went on a 12-0 run over the next three minutes to take a 27-18 lead.
