Five Towns College Basketball Drops Two at Penn State Tournament - Nov 20, 2018

Men's Basketball went 0-2 at the 3rd Annual Penn State Scranton Tip Off Tournament over the weekend. The men faced Central Penn on Saturday and Bryant & Stratton (Albany) on Sunday. Central Penn will likely be the men's toughest matchup of the season. Last season, Central Penn finished with a 20-10 record and made it to the USCAA Basketall Championship Tournament.

Game 1: Five Towns College - 72 vs. Central Penn - 120
The Sound had a hard time stopping the Central Penn Knights, who shot 60% from the field, 66.7% for 3-point field goals. Central Penn's Ryan Lawrence (6'3'') went 6-6 from behind the arch, and was the game's leading scorer with 24 points. For Five Towns, Kyree Sawyer led the team with 23 points. John Francois added 17 points to the team's effort.

Game 2: Five Towns College - 58 vs. Bryant & Stratton (Albany) - 78
A two point game at halftime, the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats came out to score 13 unanswered points. In the second half, the Bobcats shot 50% from the field (55.6% 3-pt) while the Sound shot only 31.3% (12.5% 3-pt). John Francois led the the Five Towns scoring with 24 points, to go along with 11 rebounds for his ninth career double-double. The Sound had 15 turnovers, which Bryant & Stratton converted into 23 points of their own. The next game for the men is on Wednesday December 5th, when they take on the Vaughn College Warriors at home, scheduled for an 8:00 PM tip off.

Owls score second victory against CU-Somerset - 17 hours ago
Juniors Tavonta Jones (6'3''-G) and Tre Pinkston (5'9''-PG) led the Owls men's basketball team in its second victory over Campbellsville University - Somerset on Saturday afternoon. Jones grabbed 22 points while Pinkston scored 16 in the 91-78 win over the Tigers. Shon Wright came off the bench to score 14 points to round out the double-digit scoring in the effort. Builders Drop Home Contest 99-95 to Clinton - 8 days ago
Brandon Joyner (6'0''-PG) tied a school record with nine three-pointers but The Apprentice School squandered a big lead as they fell 99-95 in conference action to Clinton College on Saturday afternoon. Brandon Joyner was the Builders' hot hand in the first half as he made six three-pointers en route to 23 first-half points to lead the Builders offensively in the first stanza. Post Players Lead Cardinals to Bounce Back Win - 21 days ago
After playing only twenty minutes of quality basketball on Wednesday night, the Stratford University men's basketball team put forty minutes of solid basketball together in an 85-71 victory over fourth ranked Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo on Thursday.
