Randall University Captures Third Straight DII Men's Basketball National Championship - Mar 14, 2018

Randall University claimed its third-straight and fifth overall (DIIA: 1999, 2002; DII: 2016, 2017) NCCAA DII Men's Basketball National Championship as they beat No. 2 Bob Jones University by the score of 86-84. Trey Sneed (6'4''-F) led the way for the Saints with 30 points and 7 rebounds, while Xavier Hunter (5'9''-G, college: Fort Scott CC) had 17 points and Antonio Wilson (5'7''-PG, college: E.Mississippi CC) finished with 16 points.
Randall battled for a tough 78-77 win in the first round over No. 8 seeded Kentucky Christian University. Kashus Lyons led the Saints with 24 points and 9 rebounds, while Trey Sneed added 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Saints then faced the No. 4 Johnson University Tennessee Royals in the semifinals. The Saints defeated the Royals 95-88 in overtime, and were led by Trey Sneed who finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Antonio Wilson added 20 points and 6 assists, while Isaac Bowles finished with 9 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
Randall's Trey Sneed was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player as he averaged 26 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Owls score second victory against CU-Somerset - 2 days ago
Juniors Tavonta Jones (6'3''-G) and Tre Pinkston (5'9''-PG) led the Owls men's basketball team in its second victory over Campbellsville University - Somerset on Saturday afternoon. Jones grabbed 22 points while Pinkston scored 16 in the 91-78 win over the Tigers. Shon Wright came off the bench to score 14 points to round out the double-digit scoring in the effort. Brandon Joyner (6'0''-PG) tied a school record with nine three-pointers but The Apprentice School squandered a big lead as they fell 99-95 in conference action to Clinton College on Saturday afternoon. After playing only twenty minutes of quality basketball on Wednesday night, the Stratford University men's basketball team put forty minutes of solid basketball together in an 85-71 victory over fourth ranked Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo on Thursday.
