USBA Expect Good Turnout For Last Weekend Of Free Agent Tryouts

The United States Basketball Association (USBA) is pleased to announce the last weekend of open tryouts for their inaugural season. The season starts on April 11th and runs until the first weekend of July.

Tryouts will be taking place at the following locations:

Atlanta: Clark Atlanta University. Two sessions March 28th 9:00-12:00 3:00- 6:00 Coach: Tony Leonard

Location switched to Clark Atlanta University V. W Henderson Gymnasium 233 James P. Brawley Drive Atlanta, Georgia 30314

Augusta: 100 Riverview Park Drive, North Augusta; March 28thtwo sessions8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00. Coach: Chuck Graham

Birmingham Jess Lanier HS; 100 HS Drive; Bessemer, ALMarch 28th 4:00-6:30. Coach: Jeff Hill

Columbia: Benedict College HRC Arena1600 Hardin St; March 28th; 10:00-1:00 and 2:00-5:00. March 29th 2:00-5:00. Coach: Willie Washington (Posponed)

Jacksonville Edward Waters College; Adams-Jenkins GymMarch 28th; 1:00-4:00. Coach: James Easton

Montgomery: St. James High School 6010 Vaughn Street; Montgomery; March 28th 10:30-1:30. Coach: Wilbert Hamilton

Nashville Fisk University; 1000 17th Ave N.E. Nashville; March 28th; 1:00-5:00 and March 29th; 2:00-5:00. Coach: Oliver Lee (Posponed)

Richmond: Virginia Union University: Barco-Stevens Gymnasium; March 28th; 1:00-6:00 Coach: Henry Coker

Savannah: Savannah State University; 3219 College Street; Wilcox Gym March 28th; 2:00-5:00 March 29th2:00-5:00. Coach: Lee Pearson

West Virginia: Charleston Catholic High School. 1 Players Club Drive Charleston; March 28th; 10 am - 3pm Coach: Thomas Jones

Registration for tryouts will begin one hour prior to the scheduled start time of the tryout with a cost of $75.00. Players will be required to complete the following: Player Claim Release Form, Medical Clearance Form, and Player Profile Information. Players are requested to be prompt. No one will be admitted to the tryouts after the scheduled start time.

USBA President Duane Jenkins says, We are excited about this set of tryouts. Last weekend we had some very talented players attend and the talent pool is very deep. We are hoping for the same level of talent this weekend.

The USBA is a mid spring through early summer professional basketball league. League offices are in Atlanta, Georgia. Players can be catapulted to enjoy further opportunities in the National Basketball Association Developmental League as well as exposure to other professional basketball leagues from around the world. The league age requirement is 20 years or older.
