The United States Basketball Association (USBA) is pleased to announce open tryouts for their inaugural season. The season starts on April 11th and runs until the first part of July. Tryouts will be taking place at the following locations:

Atlanta: Morris Brown College; John L. Lewis Gymnasium; 643 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Two sessions March 28th9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00. One session March 29th2:00-5:00

Augusta: 100 Riverview Park Drive, North Augusta; March 22nd: 1:30-5:30 and March 28thtwo sessions8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00.

Birmingham: Jess Lanier HS; 100 HS Drive; Bessmer, ALMarch 22nd 4:00-6:30 and 6:00-9:00.

Columbia: Benedict CollegeHRC Arena1600 Hardin St; March 28th; 10:00-1:00 and 2:00-5:00. March 29th 2:00-5:00.

Jacksonville: Edward Waters College; Adams-Jenkins GymMarch 22nd; 1:00-4:00

Montgomery: Sidney Lanier HS; Walker-Joiner Gymnasium; 1756 South Court St. Montgomery; March 22nd; 10:00-1:00.

Nashville: Fisk University;; 1000 17th Ave N.E. Nashville; March 22nd; 9:00-1:00

Richmond: Virginia Union UniversityBarco-Stevens Hall1500 Lombardi Drive. Time TBA.

Savannah: Savannah State University; Tiger ArenaMarch 28th; 9-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 March 29th2-5

West Virginia: Family Life Center; 2910 Kanawah Terrace, Charleston, WV; March 28th; 10-2 and 4-7.

Registration for tryouts will begin one hour prior to the scheduled start time of the tryout with a cost of $75.00. Players will be required to complete the following: Player Claim Release Form, Medical Clearance Form, and Player Profile Information. Players are requested to be prompt. No one will be admitted to the tryouts after the scheduled start time. USBA president Duane Jenkins says, We are excited about this set of tryouts. Last weekend we had some very talented players attend and the talent pool is very deep. We are hoping for the same level of talent this weekend. The USBA is a mid spring through early summer professional basketball league. League offices are in Atlanta, Georgia. Players can be catapulted to enjoy further opportunities in the National Basketball Association Developmental League as well as exposure to other professional basketball leagues from around the world.
