Game results from Thursday Play-Off action.

Thursday saw a great deal of action and talent as the URBL opened up it's first Annual Play-Off. The first was between #1 seed Dallas Ft. Worth and the #8 seed Katy S. The game was never close as the Disciples walked passed Katy S. 101-82. The Disciples were led by the URBL MVP Jermaine Barnes with 40 points and 10 rebounds. Jerome Boyd add 31 points ad 17 rebounds. 'We just felt like making a statement to the league. Were the best', said Boyd.

The #3 seed Converse Flight faced off against the #6 seed Texas Marshalls. It was a hard fought out game as the Flight pulled off a OT victory 101-100 over the Marshalls. Geoff Harner was the games top scorer with 31 points (6-9, 3PT). Josh Harris added his career high 30 points in the 1st round loss for Texas.

The #6 seed Austin Flash faced off against the #5 seed Houston Stars. The game got out of hand from the beginning as Austin dismantled Houston 98-77. Anthony Oxley lead the way with 18 points and a game high 14 assist. But in a lossing effort Kevin Green put on a show. Grenn posted 34 points, 17rebounds and 6 show stopping dunks. But Greens' out burst wasnt enough to hold off the Flash.

In the final game Irving vs. Houston G. was by far the most exciting as the 'URBL Slam Dunk Champ', Rick James aka Mr. Excitement was in the building. The game was never close as the Irving Assault put the Houston team away 110-90. Who else but Rick James was the high point man with 33, six of them were show stopping dunks. It will be exciting to see what happens between them and Converse in the next round.
