Carrie Washington signs at Equipo Femenino La Vega

Equipo Femenino La Vega (United Cup) landed 27-year old American power forward Carrie Washington (183cm-94, college: Columbus State) for upcoming United Cup. She played last summer at GIE Matrix (WUBA) in the U.S. In 10 games she averaged 10.0ppg, 14.3rpg (leader !!!), 1.4apg, 1.9spg and 3.5bpg. Washington helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. It was a very successful season in her career as she was awarded Usbasket.com All-WUBA National League Defensive Player of the Year, selected to 1st Team and to the All-Star Game. The last season Washington played at US Orthez (NF1) in French league.

She is a very experienced player. Washington has played also professionally in Lebanon, Lithuania (Siauliu Siauliai), Spain (Mataro) and Mediterranean Cup (Atlanta Ambassadors).

Among many awards she won WUBA Southern Conference championship title in 2017. Washington received also Eurobasket.com All-Mediterranean Cup Co-Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019.

She attended Columbus State until 2015 and it will be her seventh season in pro basketball.
