Offseason continues with good news to share after Universal Basketball Association (UBA) was announced as the first team selected. The second club to be selected on the MCC 2019 roster - the Dallas Heat from the USA!

The American club will be managed by Heat president Mason Brawley . Brawley has been the talk of US minor leagues after partnering with the NBA G-League this summer. "We are very excited to be apart of such a great international event", said Brawley. We are just working very hard to build the Heat brand and represent the UBA.

Headlining the Heat roster is reigning UBA Player of the year Daylon Guy (183-PG-92, college: Tarleton St.). Guy has played the last 4 seasons with the Fort Worth FIRM averaging an impressive 27.8ppg. He will step in an represent the UBA for the Dallas Heat this summer. In the off guard position would be Cameron Barnes (190-G, college: Hardin-Simmons). Barnes is currently playing in Mexico for Peregrinos de Badiraguato.

"We always try to add one club from the US each event ", said Mediterranean Manager Alberto Pena This will be a chance for US players to play for each club here in Barcelona. We believe this tournament helps EU clubs improve players and also helps scouting. It will always be our honor to host this event in Mataro.

The Dallas Heat are the first American cup selected this season. The US minor league club play in the UBA for the last three seasons.
