The Universal Basketball Association (UBA) announced today that it has added the Southwest Atlanta Ambassadors out of Atlanta, GA to its growing list of expansion teams for the 2017-2018 season. 'We're very excited that A.R. Cooper is in management this season,' stated UBA co-founder D.J. Douglas s. The team will be co-owned by Arrelius Cooper (6'0''-G-84) and baseball player A.J. Murray.

'I'm very excited to be teaming up with A.J.,' added Cooper. 'I've seen what it takes to be a great UBA team on and off the court and know that together we'll make the Ambassadors one of the premier UBA teams in both. I'm really looking forward to the challenge.' 'Several UBA players have extended their basketball careers with UBA team ownership,' stated Cooper. 'This is a league of opportunity and inclusion and I am happy to be able to help UBA players achieve their dreams of playing on the next level. There is no other league in the USA that supports their players like the UBA. So many FIBA events and ways to be scouted makes the process of moving on very realistic.'

Arelious Cooper has been a player in the UBA for the last 6 seasons. He has won four championships with the powerful GIE Maile Matrix. He was also apart of three of the Copa Mitchell Cup titles in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He has also working in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks for several years. Cooper brings valuable experience to the Southern Conference.

"Our organization prides itself on professionalism and community service", said A.J. Murray. Cooper has laid a great foundation for us. We will work as a team to build the best franchise in league history.

The Ambassadors will play in the UBA Southern Conference.
