WUBA Game Results 3/18/2017

Georgia Disciples 63 - Metro Atlanta Sparks 45

The Lady Disciples turned back the Lady Sparks by the score of 63-45. The Lady Disciples were led by the newly signed Nicole Collins who scored 21 points. The Lady Sparks were led by Christina Ratnawati (5'3''-SG-88) who scored 12 points. The Disciples win keeps them in the hunt for the top seed spot in the WUBA Southern Conference, currently controlled by the Lady Matrix. The Lady Disciples got 15 points from Siarre Evans (5'10''-G/F-88, college: E.Tenn.St.), and 14 points from Treasure Johnson (6'0''-SF, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Gamble Sports Management) in the win. The Lady Sparks got 11 points from Jomanda Smalls (SF) in the losing effort.

GIE Lady Matrix 60 - Atlanta Legends 58

The Lady Matrix edged the Lady Legends by the sore of 60-58 in WUBA March Madness. The Lady Matrix were led by Briana Williams (5'7''-G-92, college: Mercer) who scored 26 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Azzie Knox (5'11''-G/F-85, college: Rogers St.) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Lady Matrix. "Briana and Azzie saved us Saturday Night", said Coach Barnes. The late three pointer by Azzie and big time play in the fourth from Bri got us over the hump. Carrie Washington (6'0''-F/C-94, college: Columbus St.) continued her great play on the defensive end pulling down 15 rebounds and holding WUBA All-Star Jheri Booker (6'0''-F/G-89, college: Tennessee St.) to just 10 points. Lynette Holmes (6'0''-G/F-92, college: Langston) had a team high 21 points and 8 rebounds in a losing effort.

The Lady Matrix hold on to the top spot of the WUBA with a 7-2 record.
