Round 9 (Regular Season): Showstoppers outscore Elite

Third defeat of league's leader Elite (5-3) against second ranked Showstoppers (5-2) 126-123 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Showstoppers keep a position of league leader. Carolina Elite at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by ANM Elite. Carolina Elite will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Showstoppers will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Carolina Elite in Whiteville.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Cavaliers (2-4) against fifth ranked Storm (2-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Cavaliers were defeated by Storm in a tough game in Atlanta 107-112. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cavaliers. Storm moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Cavaliers. Atlanta S. will play against league's leader ANM Elite in New Bern in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cavaliers will have a break next round.

Third ranked 26ers (4-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Coyotes (1-5). 26ers defeated Coyotes 134-124 on Saturday. 26ers maintains third place with 4-2 record having just 4 victories less than leader ANM Elite. NC Coyotes lost fifth consecutive game. Defending champion keep the sixth position with five games lost. Carolina 26ers will meet at home Strong S. (#5) in the next round. NC Coyotes will play against Atlanta S. and hope to win that game.
