Walla Walla High School Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach Adam Berg has announced his resignation after six successful seasons to accept an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coaching position at Whitman College. Berg will continue his teaching position with Walla Walla Public Schools. “This opportunity brings me one step closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a head coach at the college level,” said Berg. “In my six years leading the Blue Devil program, we’ve accomplished great things, and I believe the program is well-positioned for continued success. I am proud now—and will always be proud—to be a Blue Devil.” During his tenure, Berg led the Blue Devils to multiple District tournament appearances and a WIAA State Tournament berth in 2023, where the team earned a first-round victory. “I want to thank Adam for his six years of dedication to the Blue Devil basketball program and the broader athletic department,” said Wa-Hi Athletic Director Chris Ferenz. “He developed leaders both on and off the court, and always held his student-athletes to high standards. We wish him the very best in his next chapter.”
