Mount Saint Mary College Names Ian Thom Assistant Men's Basketball Coach - Sep 7, 2018

Mount Saint Mary College Head Basketball Coach Ryan Kadlubowski has announced the addition of Ian Thom to his coaching staff for the upcoming 2018-19 season. Thom comes to the Mount with both collegiate and professional playing experience. Thom played his collegiate basketball at Birmingham-Southern where he was a team captain and a two-time All-Southern Athletic Association pick. He also boasts a selection to the SAA All-Academic Team. Following his collegiate career, he went on to play professional in Ireland for the Neptune Basketball Club and coached the Neptune U14 team. 'I am very excited to welcome Ian Thom to Mount Saint Mary College and to our basketball family', stated Kadlubowski. 'His character, work ethic and basketball knowledge that he has shaped throughout his career will truly benefit out student-athletes and will make him a welcome addition to our program,' the head coach continued. In addition to his playing experience in the States, Thom is a member of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials where he officiates games for all ages, levels and gender. He also coached a U14 AAU program for Iron City Hoops in Birmingham where he executed game plans and designed practice plans and worked on skill development. Thom graduated from Birmingham-Southern with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics in 2017. Thom went on to complete his Master's degree in Marketing from Cork Institute of Technology.

Nichols set to name Patriot League assistant as next Head Basketball Coach - 3 days ago
Multiple sources have told me that Army assistant Brandon Linton will be hired as the new head basketball coach at DIII Nichols College (MA). He will replace Scott Faucher who became the head coach at DII Assumption College (MA) earlier this spring. Linton joined the Army staff back in 2014. Stefan Thompson to serve as new Hobart head coach - 10 days ago
Former All-American Stefan Thompson was promoted from assistant coach to become Hobart's new head coach, the school has announced. A native of Syracuse, New York, Thompson started his coaching career as a junior varsity coach at Christian Brothers Academy in his hometown. In 2014, he was named assistant coach at Wilkes University, before joining the Hobart coaching staff two years ago. The Buena Vista University has announced that former Johns Hopkins University assistant coach Trevor Johnson has agreed to become the new men's basketball coach.
