The Saints built a 14-point (29-15) first half lead, only to see the Bison close the gap and trail by just one (37-36) at the half.
With the game tied 43-43 with 14:48 to play, Thomas More took control of the game with a huge 25-4 to run to take a 68-47 lead and went on to hold a double-digit lead the rest of the way. TMC, which shot 58 percent (34-of-59) from the field for the game, had a balanced offensive attack with five players scoring in double figures. Leading the Saint attack was senior Daniel Ellis (5'10''-F) (Springfield, OH/Springfield North H.S.) with 16 points, including four three-pointers, while sophomore Brian Muse (6'7''-C) (Bethel, OH/Bethel H.S.) added 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting off the bench. For Bethany (WV), freshman Lance Beckwith (6'0''-G) (Raleigh, NC/Word of God Christian H.S.) posted a team-high 16 points in the loss.
