CHAMPS! Marymount Earns Second Straight AEC Title-Feb 28, 2024

Marymount men's basketball earned their second straight Atlantic East Title at home on Saturday afternoon, taking down the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy 83-72.
The Saints move to 19-8 overall on the season, one win short of their program record, ahead of the NCAA Tournament next weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Montell Cooper (6'2''-G) went off for 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks. and two steals to lead the way for the Saints.
Marcus Stubbs (6'3''-G) dropped 18 alongside seven total rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the balanced effort.
Marcus Beckett (6'4''-G) put up 14, going 3-5 from beyond the arc, with three assists and a pair of rebounds.
Wyatt Hockenberry (6'2''-G) had 10 off of the bench, shooting 50% from the floor.
CJ Highsmith (6'9''-C) had eight points with his eight boards, swatting away two blocks and grabbing a steal.
Jack Bifano (6'6''-F) had six key boards in the matchup to help lead the Saints in the second half of play.
After leading by just two heading into the half, the Saints outscored the Griffins 46-37 in the second half to secure the win.
Marymount's win streak over Gwynedd Mercy moves to four in a row.
