Top Augusta University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Jaguars alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Keshun Sherrill (5'9''-PG-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Holland) could not help one of league's weakest teams Den Bosch (26-8) in their game last Tuesday. Despite his good performance Den Bosch was defeated 78-70 on the road by the second-ranked Zwolle. Sherrill was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 35 minutes. Sherrill has relatively good stats this season 13.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.6apg and 1.7spg.

   #2. Greg Hire (6'7''-F-87, graduated '10, plays in Australia) led Rockingham Flames to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Slammers (0-12) crushing them 96-64 in the Australian State League (second division) in Friday night's game. Hire had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 19 rebounds. He also added 7 assists. Rockingham Flames (9-4) are placed third in SBL group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Hire has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.9ppg, 10.6rpg, 9.3apg, 2.4bpg and 2.7spg in seven games he played so far.

   #3. Experienced Ben Madgen (6'4''-G/F-85, graduated '10, currently in Germany) was the major contributor in a HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim's surprising victory against the second-ranked EWE Baskets (28-6) 99-87 in the German BBL last Sunday. Madgen recorded 15 points in 28 minutes. HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim (9-25) is placed 16th in the BBL. The Regular Season already ended. Madgen has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.6apg.

   #4. Kyle Armour (6'0''-G-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Australia) led Lakeside Lightning to a 1-point victory against the sixth-ranked Giants (8-5) 98-97 in the Australian State League (second division) on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and making 10 passes. Armour also added and 5 steals. Lakeside Lightning (10-8) is placed in SBL group. Armour has very impressive stats this year 16.6ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.1apg and 2.6spg in 11 games.

   #5. Ben Purser (6'7''-F-90, graduated '11, plays in Australia) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Perry Lakes Hawks in their game against Giants (8-5) in the Australian State League (second division). Despite his good performance in Saturday night's game He scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 28 minutes. It's Purser's sixth season with the team. Purser has relatively good stats this year 12.2ppg, 6.2rpg, 5.8apg, 1.3bpg and 2.5spg.

   #6. Benjamin Ursich (6'6''-F-96, graduated '17, currently in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Kilsyth Cobras in their game against Diamond Valley Eagles in the Australian State League (second division). He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team lost 90-98. This year Ursich averages 6.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg in nine games.
