Top MSU Denver alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Roadrunners alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Brandon Jefferson (5'9''-PG-91, graduated '14, plays pro in France) led Entente Orleans 45 to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Nantes (5-16) crushing them 99-76 in the French ProB (second division) in Saturday night's game. He scored 15 points and added 7 passes in 28 minutes. Entente Orleans 45 (18-6) is placed second in the ProB. It's Jefferson's first season with the team. Jefferson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 2.8rpg and 5.5apg in 24 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Benjamin Ortner (6'9''-C/F-83, graduated '05, plays in Italy) contributed to a Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia's victory against the league outsider Pistoia Basket (5-19) 80-76 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He scored 7 points. Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia (7-17) is placed 13th in the Serie A. This season Ortner averages 4.9ppg and 2.9rpg.

   #3. Paul Brotherson (6'6''-F-89, graduated '12, currently in Australia) led Hills Hornets to a 1-point victory over the eighth-ranked Panthers (2-3) 78-77 in the Australian State League (second division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Brotherson had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 5 assists and 4 steals in 37 minutes. Hills Hornets (3-1) are placed third in WARATAH group. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Brotherson has very impressive stats this year 16.8ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg in four games. He has also Australian nationality.

   #4. Peter Moller (6'3''-F-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Denmark). Moller could not help Svendborg (13-11) to beat Randers (13-11) in the Danish BasketLigaen. He scored 9 points. But the fourth-placed Svendborg (13-11) was defeated 95-88 on the road by the lower-ranked Randers (#5) in the ProA group. It was Svendborg's fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Moller's first season with the team. This year Moller averages 9.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Drew Williamson (6'5''-G/F-83, graduated '06, plays in Australia) was not able to help East Perth Eagles (4-12) in their last game. Despite his good performance his team lost 84-93 in Joondalup to the leading Wanneroo in the SBL group. Williamson was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 29 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Williamson's seventh year with the team. Williamson has relatively good stats this season 12.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.5apg and 1.8spg in four games.

   #6. Cameron Williams (6'1''-G-95, graduated '18, currently in Australia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Drew Williamson and both played together in the last Australian State League game. Williams was not able to secure a victory for East Perth Eagles in their game against Wanneroo. Despite his good performance last Friday He scored 11 points, grabbed 6 boards, passed 5 assists and added 5 steals. This season Williams has very high stats. He averages 15.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.0apg and 3.7spg.
