Best performed former Hawaii Pacific University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Sharks alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Clifford Hodge (6'5''-PF-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Philippines). He could not help Meralco Bolts (2-3) to beat NLEX RW (2-4) in the Filipino PBA. Hodge scored 6 points, had 17 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 31 minutes. Meralco Bolts lost 83-87 on the road to the lower-ranked (#8) NLEX RW. It's Hodge's seventh season with the team. This year he averages 7.4ppg, 11.6rpg and 3.4apg in five games he played so far. Hodge is a naturalized Filipino.

   #2. Niksha Federico (6'7''-G/F-95, graduated '18, plays in Spain) was not able to help Araberri in their game against Real Betis (19-2) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Federico scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Araberri was crushed 81-55 at home by the leading Real Betis. It was Araberri's third consecutive loss in a row. Federico has relatively good stats this season 11.6ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.4spg. He is a naturalized Italian.

   #3. Rishi Kakad (6'2''-G-87, graduated '10, currently in Germany) led Neustadt TSV to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Rendsburg (11-9) 98-83 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded 16 points and added 3 assists in 25 minutes. TSV Neustadt temps Shooters (9-10) is placed ninth in North group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Kakad has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.6apg in 18 games.

   #4. Fran Urli (6'8''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in United Kingdom) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Team Newcastle University (5-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Team Newcastle University was defeated 85-79 in Hemel by the higher-ranked Storm (#11). Urli was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 4 rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). This season Urli averages 9.2ppg and 3.3rpg. Urli is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #5. Nikola Urli (6'7''-F-94, graduated '18, plays in United Kingdom) is a teammate of previously mentioned Fran Urli and both played together in the last British NBL D1 game. Urli couldn't help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Team Newcastle University (5-10) in their game against Storm (5-8). He scored 9 points in 20 minutes. But Team Newcastle University lost 79-85 in Hemel to the higher-ranked (#11) Storm. Urli has relatively good stats this year 12.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.3apg and 2.0spg in four games.

   #6. Michael Helton (6'6''-G/F-87, graduated '10, currently in Mexico) managed to help Mineros de Zacatecas to win against the fourth-ranked Correcaminos 95-76 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded only 4 points. This season Helton averages 2.1ppg and 1.1rpg. He is a naturalized Mexican.
